New Bamboo Travel site is a gateway to the Far East

Bespoke graphic design, custom content management and tours to exotic locations in the Far East. What web design agency could resist a project that involves all three?

Not us. Unfortunately, our work for Bamboo Travel didn't actually take us to Japan, Thailand or the Philippines (just three of the ten exotic destinations in which the company leads luxurious tours). Instead, our Sheffield-based team did what we do best – we built a bespoke web solution that would help the client take their business to the next level.

Intuitive navigation

First, our graphic designers got a fresh challenge. To create a subtle yet powerful front page navigation graphic, we drew the maps of each destination country by hand before incorporating them into a Flash interface that puts users one click away from information on their dream holiday.

We then created a unique tour search function, which allows users to select their ideal country, holiday style and month of departure. Clicking “Search” presents users with all the information they need.

Both features make for intuitive navigation that makes the site welcoming and easy to use.

Increasing productivity

Behind the scenes, our web development experts created a custom content management system (CMS) that gives the client complete control over all web content. Bamboo Travel staff can easily update, add and remove text and images as their business develops.

But perhaps even more usefully, the CMS makes administration of tour bookings easier for the client - resulting in time savings and increased productivity.
