The web has revolutionised language learning tools. It's now possible to use video, photos, audio podcasts and much more to engage learners - and that's exactly what our latest website design does.
Yuban helps Chinese students learn to "Speak English, like the English". With frequently updated content, students learn from real-life examples of English that are up-to-date and relevant. To deliver this, the Chinese language Yuban website needed powerful features. We were happy to help.
Powerful user accounts
One of the best things about web-based language learning is that learners can personalise programme to their specific needs. Our website development for Yuban includes user accounts that allow learners to create favourites lists and edit personal information.
Podcasts and much more
The podcasts on Yuban are split into four categories: Grammar Geeks, Update, In Depth and Real Life. They aren't just simple file downloads however - podcasts are split into several areas on the website, allowing each one to be complemented by follow-up questions, dialogue, vocabulary and a user comment system.
Frequent updates with CMS
The Yuban website is driven by original content, created by the company themselves. So naturally they needed to be able to upload content in-house - something we made easy by implementing one of our powerful, custom Content Management Systems (CMS).
Evoluted Managing Director Ash Young said:
"Creating the Yuban website was an exciting challenge for the Evoluted team. It shows that with the right features, the Web can be used to make all kinds of things easier and more fun - language learning being a great example. We're sure Yuban and their students will enjoy great success in teaching and learning English."
The Yuban website is now live at www.yuban.co.uk.
