Junior Web Developer Job Sheffield

Location: Sheffield

We are a digital development agency and are currently seeking a junior web developer to join our growing team. Our client base spans many business sectors with projects ranging from simple content managed sites through to large e-commerce projects.

The position will require the development of new projects from scratch in conjunction with the maintenance of existing sites. Candidates should be enthusiastic team players and be willing to participate in the creative development of new ideas and solutions. You must be self motivated and be able to show that you can work on your own initiative.

The position is best suited for someone who thrives in a friendly and informal environment with the ability to contribute to projects which will have a real impact on the growth of the business.

A related degree level (Computer Science / Software Engineering) would be beneficial.

Requirements:

• Experience of using PHP5 alongside MySQL with templating systems to create dynamic data driven websites.
• Knowledge of XHTML, CSS and Javascript.
• Knowledge of Photoshop and Flash.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of SVN.
• Experience with JavaScript libraries.
